SEEDS 20th Anniversary Survey for PhD graduates/candidates

The SEEDS Program is committed to providing the students that we serve with the most meaningful experience possible. To ensure we are meeting your needs as a student, an individual and as the future of ecology, we need your feedback on this aspect of our program. Please feel free to answer the following questions openly as all submissions are completely anonymous. Thank you, your time and thoughts are valuable to us!

Part 1: BEFORE MEETING

For each of the following questions, think about how confident you would be in carrying out a given task BEFORE participating in the SEEDS LM.
1 = not at all confident
2 = only a little confident
3 = fairly confident
4 = very confident
5 = totally confident

1. How confident are you that you could ask a meaningful ecology question that could be answered experimentally?

2. How confident are you that you could use a scientific approach to solve a problem at home?

3. How confident are you that after reading an article about an ecology experiment, you could explain its main ideas to another person?

4. How confident are you that after listening to a public lecture regarding some ecology topic, you could write a summary of its main points?

5. How confident are you that you can use scientific language and terminology?

6. How confident are you that you can create explanations for the results of a study?
