Section I. 4DEE Engagement

The Ambassadors program is intended for active participants in the 4DEE community, as defined by participation in a 4DEE committee, working group, TEE FMN or having previously published on 4DEE. If you have participated in a TEE FMN, or published on 4DEE, you will be asked for more information.

Section II. Event and Presentation Information

Presentation Plans
Proposed or Intended Presentation format
Please add title of the event where you will present. Example: Ecological Society of America Annual Meeting 2024; or ABC University Dept of XYZ symposium. If there is no specific title, please describe the event.
Please enter the date when your proposed or intended presentation will be. If this is a multi-day event and your presentation is not yet scheduled, please enter the first day of the event. Please enter MM/DD/YYYY format.
Please leave blank if this is an online presentation.
If you have already proposed a presentation, please use the description you submitted. If you are planning to submit for an upcoming event, please describe what you your presentation will be about. Presentations may be about teaching modules/resources, ways to implement 4DEE for your classroom or ways you have worked with colleagues to transform your courses or on any topic you believe to be useful to the community to help “Transform Ecology Education to 4D”.

Section III. Event Travel Budget

In this section, we ask for your anticipated travel budget for your upcoming presentation if it is applicable.
Is travel required for your proposed or intended presentation?
If you require travel support, please LIST in separate rows: the expense item and amount here: e.g. Registration $200 Mileage $250 Meals $150 Kindly note that all expenses must be accompanied by receipts for reimbursement.
Please enter maximum you may need based on type of event: 1) Up to $400 reimbursement to cover conference attendance that require travel 2) Up to $400 additional reimbursement for the higher national conference registrations 3) Up to $400 for Dependent Care reimbursement based on documented need
Section IV. Program Expectations and Conditions

Program Expectations

Thank you for your interest in the 4DEE Ambassadors program. We appreciate your efforts to incorporate the 4DEE framework in your teaching and courses.

We ask Ambassadors to: 

  • Estimate the number of attendees for reporting purposes 
  • Photograph attendees for our website (may need to obtain photo release)
  • Distribute literature provided about 4DEE
  • Invite presentation attendees to join the 4DEE listserv
  • Forward contact information to ESA from those they might have held conversations with on 4DEE
  • If appropriate, collect feedback from participants via a brief survey, exit ticket or other means.
  • Report back to the 4DEE Subcommittee with a brief summary of the activity, insights and ideas for next steps (1 page max.).

Please note that we will ask you to submit your presentation materials after the event regardless of whether you requested travel support.
