Wildlife Diversity Program Leader with Alaska Department of Fish & Game

The Alaska Department of Fish & Game is recruiting for a Wildlife Diversity Program Leader. The position will be housed in the Division of Wildlife Conservation headquarters office in Juneau. The position provides primary oversight of the Division’s State Wildlife Grants program and supervises 5 professional staff in Juneau, Anchorage, and Fairbanks. The incumbent will also be instrumental in revising Alaska’s Wildlife Action Plan. A key goal of this position is to direct science and conservation approaches for species that have a high conservation need and to help keep species from Endangered Species Act listings. The incumbent must possess skills needed to effectively work with other agencies, NGO’s, and universities to promote program goals.
