      Hi,

      I am a grad student from Colorado State University and I also work for USGS in Flagstaff. I have a room reserved at the Portland Hilton (walking distance to the conference) from August 7-9.       I lied about the walking distance part. Looks like its 2 miles away from the Oregon Convention Center.
