June 2023 Blackologist of the Month

Our newest Blackologist of the Month is Dr. Rondy Malik, an Assistant Research Professor at the Kansas Biological Survey and Center for Ecological Research. Dr. Malik is an expert in plant-microbe interactions and trophic ecology. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, he is a proud first generation Haitian American. His ecological career began as an intern at a National Institutes of Health program at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Dr. Malik works extensively on the monarch-milkweed system, and is currently exploring the impacts of elevated CO2 in this system. He teaches general biology at Haskell Indian Nations University and Rockhurst University. Dr. Malik’s work has crowned him multiple achievements, including as a UMass Amherst Bridge Scholar, one of Cell Mentor’s “1000 inspiring Black scientists in America”
