Emerging Southwest Ecologist Travel Award!

The ESA Southwest Chapter is pleased to offer 4 travel awards of $500 each to aid in travel expenses to this years ESA Annual meeting in Portland, OR happening August 6-11, 2023!

Must meet the below criteria to be eligible for this award:
– Applicants must be members of the Southwest Chapter at the time of application.
– Applicants must be able to demonstrate their involvement in JEDI work within the field of ecology
– Applicants must be presenting a talk or poster at the ESA meeting.

Required materials:
– Your abstract text.
– A one-paragraph statement about the impact of the presented work to your field.
– A one-paragraph statement detailing your involvement with JEDI work within the field of ecology.

Responsibilities of awardee:
– The awardee must attend the Southwestern Chapter business meetings.
– The awardee must spend at least 3 hours at the Southwestern Chapter booth in the poster hall.
