Keynote

Our keynote speaker, Matthew Ryan, is an Associate Professor in the School of Integrative Plant Science Soil and Crop Sciences Section of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. Dr. Ryan is an agroecologist whose research interests include sustainable cropping systems, cover crop and ecological weed management, and organic production techniques. His overarching goal is to develop solutions to problems in agriculture.

Panel Discussion

Our panel will focus on answering questions from conference attendees on the broad subject of the benefits and challenges of regenerative agricultural practices. Regenerative agricultural is defined as a strategy of food production that increases soil health and carbon capture. Our panelists include both scientists and on-the-ground practitioners of regenerative agricultural practices.

Field Trip

Attendees will have the opportunity to visit the Rodale Institute Headquarters in Kutztown, PA. Rodale is a global leader in the development of organic agricultural practices. Their staff focus on agricultural research, farmer training programs, and consumer outreach. Rodale maintains a 386-acre working farm that includes some of the longest organic agriculture research experiments in the world.
