Data Sets

On this page, you will find links to three rich sources of data which you can explore. These data are collected from a variety of sources and each bring a different perspective on landscape scale ecology.

EcoTrends is a collection of standardized long-term ecological datasets and their metadata on a wide range of topics from climate characteristics to biogeochemical cycles across the nation, with contributions from many government agencies and participating sites.

The Forest Inventory and Analysis data are site specific datasets on our nation’s forests, managed by the Research and Development organization within the USDA Forest Service in cooperation with State and Private Forestry and National Forest Systems.

The Land Use Analysis Package, currently available through the US Geological Survey supports comprehensive assessment and analysis of patterns, changes, and drivers of land use, land cover, and land management. It will form the foundation for future NEON data.
