Instagram Submission Guide
Want to highlight your research, share a stunning field photo, or supplement your scientific paper? The Ecological Society of America is looking for interesting photographs or video for our Instagram page!
Bright, sharp, color photographs or black-and-white pictures with good contrast can be used. Photos must be high resolution. The photographs should contain illustrations of ecological processes, unique sites, or your study organisms. Photographs showing aspects of a study or steps in a process are also welcome. The photograph should be your own, or used with permission of the photographer. Short videos are also welcome.
To submit a photo or video, the following requirements must be met:
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- You must have ownership of the file, or permission by the owner to use the file
- Submit one media file at a time
- Provide a thorough description of the file (100 words maximum)
- The file must be less than 100MB, in an accepted file format
Note that high-resolution photos are more likely to be accepted.
All submissions will be reviewed, and if your photo or video is selected to be featured, you will receive email notification. By submitting your photo or video you give ESA permission to credit you for the media and to post to Instagram and any other print or digital forum. ESA reserves the right to make slight modifications to your media, such as cropping for scale.
