    • A “student,” broadly defined, is defined as an individual currently enrolled in a postsecondary program at any level, or who has graduated or will graduate in the same year as the Annual Meeting in question
    • When specified, an “undergraduate student” is defined as an individual currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, or who has completed their secondary education and is accepted into an undergraduate program with a start date within 13 months of the Annual Meeting (so by September the following year)
    • When specified, a “graduate student” is defined as an individual currently enrolled in a master’s or doctoral-level program, or who has graduated from an undergraduate program and is accepted into a graduate program with a start date within 13 months of the Annual Meeting
    • To qualify as a high school student, the individual should be currently matriculating at a secondary institution, and having already completed the ninth grade or equivalent, but not yet having graduated
  • Please use the rubric below to ensure that you are submitting the correct information for all grants and awards you are pursuing.

All awards require membership in ESA prior to applying. You can check your membership status, including which sections and chapters you belong to, by logging in to your membership portal.
