If you do science you should read this

Brian Greene, a professor of physics at Columbia, writes in the Sunday New York Times (June 1, 2008), “. . . Science is a way of life. Science is a perspective…..To be able to think through and grasp explanations — for everything from why the sky is blue to how life formed on earth — not because they are declared dogma but rather because they reveal patterns confirmed by experiment and observation, is one of the most precious of human experiences.”

If you do science, if you do teach science, if you care about science, I commend the full essay to you. It’s at http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/01/opinion/01greene.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=put%20a%20little%20science%20in%20your%20life&st=cse&oref=slogin
