NSF Division of Environmental Biology Seeks Three Permanent Program Directors

The National Science Foundation’s Division of Environmental Biology (DEB) is searching for three permanent program directors; one in each of three clusters: Ecosystem Science Cluster, Population and Evolutionary Processes Cluster, and Systematic Biology and Biodiversity Inventories Cluster.  These individuals will have significant input on future research directions and funding opportunities within DEB and the Directorate for Biological Sciences, and on the proposal review and award process at NSF.  The quality of applicants for these positions is therefore of great importance to you, as a researcher in one or more of these areas, as well as it is to us.

We ask for your help in our search by encouraging your well-qualified colleagues to apply. Time is short; the position announcement closes on 4 April 2008. Previous NSF experience is not necessary but applicants must have at least 6 years of research experience past their doctorate degree.

Thank you in advance for helping to ensure that our applicant pool is of the highest quality.
