Paintings from Ellie Irons’ Two Meadows instillation, part of her Invasive Pigments Project. The right painting depicts a research meadow and the left, an urban meadow in vacant lot, both created with color pigments made by Irons. Pigments used in the left meadow were made from plants that live on the margins of a harsh urban landscape, often derided as noxious weeds.
