EcoTone series on Eco-Communication

Our 2014 workshop took participants beyond why communicating science is important. This workshop aimed to empower ecologists to better communicate the stories of our science (including stories about the people doing the science) in creative, compelling and innovative ways.

In order to do that, we worked hard to spread the word about the workshop. One of our main outreach mechanisms was a series of articles on the Ecological Society of America‘s EcoTone blog. In that series, we did not cover the “how-tos” that we addressed in the workshop. Instead, we concentrated on some of the ideas and opportunities associated with advancing communication skills among ecologists and others in ecology-related careers.

Check out the series, and feel free to share it with folks who might be interested!
