Nomination information

First Nominator

One nominator must be an ESA member and cannot be a member of the ESA Fellows Selection Committee. Nominator must not nominate more than two individuals per year.

Nominee information

Nominees should have been a regular member of ESA for at least five years (not necessarily consecutive). For these purposes, a regular member is defined as a non-student, dues-paying member

Fellows are expected to be members of the profession for at least 15 years.
Early Career Fellows are expected to be within 8 years of their PhD.

  • 10-15 select publications (and total number)
  • Current & recent grants
  • Professional service
  • Communication & outreach activities
  • Teaching & pedagogy experience and activities
  • Management & policy activities.
