The Executive Committee of the Section consists of a Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary. Officers are elected by ballot. Results of the election are announced at the annual business meeting of the Section, held each summer concurrent with the annual meeting of the Ecological Society of America. The terms of office are as follows: (1) the Chair serves a term of one year; (2) the Vice-Chair serves a term of one year, after which the Vice-Chair assumes the office of Chair for one year; (3) the Secretary serves a term of two years.
