ESA Student Section Bay Area Mixer!

Are you interested in meeting bay area graduate students? Come to the first annual bay area ESA Student Section Mixer Thursday May 12, 2011 in San Francisco!

We are lucky to live in an awesome area densely populated with universities – yet how often do you get to meet graduate students from outside of your department? The first annual bay area ESA Student Section mixer is the perfect opportunity to meet other bay area ecology graduate students in a fun and informal environment where no speakers, posters, or workshops are required!

The plan is to check out the nightlife at California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. You have to buy tickets online in advance, cost is $12 buy tickets at http://www.calacademy.org/events/nightlife/.

If interested in meeting up beforehand to have a picnic in golden gate park or have drinks at a bar, please RSVP to sglassman(at)berkeley.edu by May 5 and let me know your preference. Once I know how many people are interested I can approach bars about drink specials and reserve an area large enough for our crowd.

Please forward to any interested parties or download our flyer and put it up around your lab/department!
