Physiological Ecology Section Liaison: Doug Aubrey (University of Georgia)

ROLE:
As the ESA Physiological Ecology—Student Section Liaison, I facilitate communication between these two important ESA sections.

ABOUT ME & SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS:
I am a physiological ecologist currently working towards my Ph.D. at The University of Georgia. My general research interests focus on environmental factors regulating forest productivity, forest biogeochemistry, and effects of environmental change on forest systems. Some of my current research interests are: carbon cycling in forests; internal transport of CO2 in tree xylem; and the use of current photosynthate versus stored carbohydrates as substrate for tree root respiration.
