"Yale University SEEDS Campus Ecology Chapter" » New Haven, Connecticut

The Yale University SEEDS Campus Ecology Chapter supports underrepresented minority students of ecology and environmental studies through research projects, community service projects, campus events, and counseling on graduate studies in environmental fields and career development.

Our Chapter demonstrates our commitment to the mission and goals of SEEDS by recruiting underrepresented minorities for majors related to ecology and environmental studies (ecology and evolutionary biology; environmental studies; environmental engineering; geology). Chapter members also make students aware of opportunities for students involved in ecology and environmental studies, such as the environmental studies internship program and joint BS/MES 5-year program at Yale's school of forestry. The Chapter also works with groups such as the Environmental Justice Alliance at Yale to examine the cultural and racial issues of environmentalism and environmental policy.

This Chapter currently has an inactive status with the SEEDS program.

No updates from 2008.
