"UMBC SEEDS Chapter" >> Baltimore, Maryland

The purpose of the UMBC SEEDS Chapter is to stimulate interest in urban ecosystem ecology. The chapter aims to provide educational, research and mentoring opportunities for SEEDS students. We are thrilled to announce the SEEDS Chapter at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) as one of our newest additions to SEEDS!

Plans for 2008-2009

• For the upcoming academic year, the following activities have been proposed:
  • Encourage attendance to BES, GES, and CUERE seminars and interactions with speakers
  • K-12 students through outreach with Parks & People Foundation
  • Set up an arboretum by creating signs for current trees (obtain support from UMBC administration)
