The mission of our chapter will be to promote interest in the science of ecology and in the natural history of the South San Francisco Bay of California. |
Plans for 2009-2010
- Visit Blue Oak Reserve, a 1300 ha natural area located within 30 minutes of campus, devoted to research and education
- Visit Moss Landing Marine Labs to view ecologists doing research in the marine sciences
- Visit Bonny Doon Ecological Reserve, a very unique sandhills habitat ~1 hour from campus. A wildfire that burned about half the reserve about 2 years ago has led to regeneration of plants in this fire-dependent habitat.
- Host a speaker to present their ecological research at the Department of Biological Sciences seminar.
Activities of 2008-2009
