"Ecology of South Florida" Special Project

This project supported students to prepare multimedia materials for use in our "Ecology of South Florida" course. One student gathered information, pictures, and bird calls and arranged them into a format established by Dr. Hopper. A second student developed a new web page for the Center and the Ecology Club - http://www.fmuniv.edu/cues/index.html.

Lecture presentations were created for the birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles, fresh-water fish, salt-water animals, and invertebrates of Florida. In addition, a tutorial on Florida birds was created which allows students to click on an icon and hear the call and/or song of each bird, while viewing pertinent information about the bird's habitat and food and its common and scientific names and picture.
