Melissa Armstrong is the SEEDS Program Manager based in Flagstaff, AZ. In addition to helping with the overall SEEDS program, she is responsible for aspects of the program that takes place in the western U.S., including activities at Tribal Colleges. She started working with SEEDS at the Institute of Ecosystem Studies in 2000 and transferred to ESA in 2002. Mrs. Armstrong received her B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Rhode Island and an M.A. in Teaching of Ecology from Northern Arizona University. She is particularly interested in what influences students' decisions about following an ecology pathway, and how the field of ecology can change to encourage and support greater diversity.

Charlee Glenn is the Diversity Programs Assistant. She is an alumni of Clayton State University where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a Chemistry minor. Charlee was first introduced to SEEDS through an ecology professor at her university. Shortly thereafter, she established a SEEDS Chapter on her campus and went on to participate in the Annual ESA Meeting, a field trip to Santa Barbara, California and was invited to lead a breakout group at the Leadership Conference in early 2008. Charlee’s enthusiasm for ecology and the SEEDS mission continued well after she graduated in the fall of 2007. She continued to contribute to the Clayton State SEEDS Chapter and acted as the Education and Outreach Team Leader for their chapter’s Big Project until she happily joined ESA in June 2009.
