Because
no one person can possibly attend all of the numerous sessions offered during a
meeting of this size, the Friday morning Closing Plenary has become a mainstay
for gathering together to share a variety of impressions. Those who have
attended earlier “Wrap Ups” have been very enthusiastic about the
perspective provided by this event. This year, we will close the meeting with a
special sponsored brunch, organized by the Program Chairs, at which a panel of
prominent senior ecologists will provide insights into what the meeting has
meant to them and participants will be invited to share questions, comments, and
table talk from their own viewpoints.
Before
INTECOL members depart for their varied destinations not to meet again for
another four years and
ESA
members scatter until next year’s Annual Meeting in
Memphis
, this event offer a time when
both may assemble to put it all together.
