Following
the Public Plenary, come to the Exhibit Halls to kick off the 2005
ESA
-INTECOL Joint Meeting in
Montréal Style. Continuing their performance at the Public Plenary, La Baratte
au Beurre (The Churn) will provide the evening’s entertainment offering
traditional French Canadian songs and stories.
Waiters
will pass hors d’oeuvres representing Montréal classic specialties including
country pâté, primavera mini quiche, wild mushroom quiche, asparagus tips,
mosaic of seafood with fresh dill, and mozzarella croquettes. Buffet tables will
feature assorted dips and spreads, crackers and crusty French bread, as well as
a display of mini French pastries and maple cookies offering attendees a wide
variety of gourmet edibles. In addition, cash bars located throughout the halls
will feature a broad selection for every taste ranging from soft drinks, juices,
and mineral waters to international, micro brew, and local beers, to wine and
premium liquors.
While
enjoying the fun and the feast, you are also encouraged to walk around and see
the exhibits and displays in each of three “villages”. Plenty of informal
seating will be available for when you want to sit and visit with other
attendees as well. Don’t miss this opportunity to mix and mingle, find old
friends and meet new colleagues, and make plans for the week ahead. The price of
admission is included in the Registration Fee for full-week meeting registrants;
event tickets may be purchased for registered adult and youth guests.
