Placement and Cancellation Policies

Hotel and dormitory rooms will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be sure to list alternate housing choices in case your first choice(s) is unavailable. For each hotel room reservation, the room will be held and the final bill will be issued in the name of the person who submits the Housing Reservation Form. However, most hotels are willing to divide charges and accept partial payment from each room occupant upon check out. Please note that ESA holds each person sharing a hotel room responsible for making his or her own financial arrangements with any roommate(s). Neither ESA nor the Housing Bureau can guarantee room charges will be divided between or among room occupants.

Housing request cancellations and changes must be submitted to the Housing Bureau at Tourisme Montreal. Cancellation policies are unique to each official housing location. To avoid assessment of a Cancellation Penalty (one night’s room rate plus tax, where applicable), please carefully note and adhere to the policy of your assigned location. Individual policies will be indicated on your each hotel’s confirmation.
