This meeting will include 24 symposia, each organized around a specific theme or topic. These will be half-day sessions lasting from 21/2 to 31/2 hours. Talks in Symposia range from 20 to 30 minutes in length and time for synthesis, summary and discussion is encouraged. Proposals for these Symposia will be reviewed, evaluated and ranked by the Program Committee. The most suitable proposals will be accepted. Symposium proposals may be from any area of ecology, but those that relate to the overall theme - Ecology at Multiple Scales - are especially encouraged, as are those that will be of broad interest to both ESA and INTECOL attendees.
