Location: Essex Room, Paul Robeson Campus Center, Rutgers Newark (350 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Newark, NJ). Free parking is available in the Rutgers Washington Street Deck the day of the event (166 Washington St, Newark, NJ before the corner of Warren St)
Registration opens at 8 am. The conference begins at 9 am and will wrap up at 5:30 pm. The morning session will feature Dr. George Middendorf of Howard University as our keynote speaker as well as panel discussion on urban ecology. Oral and poster presentations will be in the afternoon. The main conference admission includes breakfast, lunch, and afternoon coffee.

Awards Banquet
The awards banquet will be held in the evening at 6:00 and will feature Valeri Larko, an American painter of urban and industrial landscapes. Please note this portion of the event requires a separate ticket (Supreme).

Sunday April 8
Field trip to Liberty State Park (Jersey City) and Richard W. DeKorte Park (Kearny)
The field trip will leave from the Paul Robeson Campus Center (350 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Newark, NJ) at 9 am and will return at 3 pm. We will be visiting Liberty State Park and the New Jersey Meadowlands to explore the unique ecology at each site and learn about how the natural and anthropogenic history shaped the environment we see today. These places were selected not only because of their uniqueness but because a wide range of research that has be conducted over the years at both parks. Both locations have views of the New York City skyline and will have opportunities to bird for those interested. Please note that as lunch is not provided, we will stop at a local venue for food. Limited van seating is available, however participants may also provide their own transportation as well. There is no additional fee for participating in the field trip.
