Section Student Awards

The Microbial Ecology Section offers the following three types of awards: Travel, Paper and Poster. One must apply for each award by a certain determined date, datelines may vary. For application materials and additional information for each award, please click on the appropriate link.

Best Paper: One award is given each year to the best paper delivered by a graduate or undergraduate student in any area of Microbial Ecology.

Best Poster: One award is given each year to the best poster presented by a graduate or undergraduate student in any area of microbial ecology.

Travel Awards: These awards are granted to a limited number of graduate or undergraduate students who compete based on their accepted abstracts for a paper or poster in any area of Microbial Ecology. The number of awards may vary by year.
