Please read these important notes BEFORE reading individual workshop descriptions.

• Advance registration by Friday, June 16, 2006, is required for all workshops. Updates on filled or cancelled workshops will be posted on the ESA Website under Annual Meeting Alerts. (See www.esa.org/Memphis)
• A nominal fee is required for workshop participation. Fees cover refreshments and workshop materials (if any),. Please refer to the individual description of any workshop of interest for details.
• As locations and times vary, registrants should be sure to note each workshop's location and start and ending times. For onsite workshops, times reflect when programs start and end.
• In many cases, field trips and workshops occur concurrently, either on the same days or during overlapping time slots. Please do NOT register for more than one activity in any given time slot.
• Please allow sufficient travel time to reach the Cook Convention Center in Memphis before for your workshop begins. For workshops with morning start times you would be well advised to arrive in Memphis on the day prior to the Workshop.
• All registrants participating in Saturday or Sunday workshops are encouraged to pick up meeting materials at the meeting registration desk in the lobby area of the Cook Convention Center prior to going to their workshops. Refer to the registration section for information about desk hours.
• Because weekday workshops are scheduled during the lunchtime break (11:30 AM to 1:15 pm), the fee for each includes a “Grab-and-Go” lunch ticket, which includes a vegetarian option.
• Weekday workshop registrants must claim their meeting materials, which will include their Grab-and-Go Lunch ticket(s), at the meeting registration desk before going to these workshops. These registrants should pick up their Grab-and-Go Lunches in exhibit hall at 11:30 am and proceed immediately to their workshop sessions.
• Workshops on Sunday are scheduled to end in time to allow participants to attend the Opening Plenary and the Welcome Mixer. These events will take place in the Cook Convention Center.
