We are greatly saddened by recent deaths of Ricky John Best and Taliesin Myrddin Namkai Meche in Portland (OR), who came to the aid of two Muslim women who were being assaulted with hate speech because of their religion. We urge you to express solidarity with the victims’ families and exercise restraint in the challenging weeks ahead.
