		<description><![CDATA[I agree with the second comment by &#039;Jr&#039;, at least on the point that the &quot;experiment&quot; carried out does certainly not prove that the fungus &quot;posseses&quot; the ant.

The fact that the fungus grows best at 25cm above the ground could also be simply because that is where the ants take it most of the time; therefore it has evolved to cope best when growing at that level. This also explains why 100% of the ants don&#039;t go to this level- simply because they don&#039;t make the journey; after all, why would a fungus that has evolved to take over an organism get it wrong?

Seeing as this is far simpler then the idea of ants being pre-mortisly possesed, I would think it stands better as a theory (Ockams Razor) that also supports Hughes’ findings.]]></description>
