EPA’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is one of 11 federal agencies that participate in the SBIR Program established by the Small Business Innovation Development Act of 1982. EPA issues annual solicitations for Phase I and Phase II research proposals from science and technology-based firms. Phase II contracts are limited to small businesses that have successfully completed their Phase I contracts. [Read More]

 Small Business Innovation Research SBIR Seed Funding Helps Create Jobs
EPA's SBIR program issues small funding contracts through an annual research competition which opens in March. The small companies in turn use this seed funding to advance their research and leverage that investment to bring in other sources of funding such as venture capital.
