The Mid-Atlantic Regional Water Program, Chesapeake Bay Foundation and USDA-ARS Beltsville Agricultural Research Center are partnering together on this important conference. Topics of discussion will include the status and trends of ethanol production, potential water quality implications, nutrient management concerns, challenges to production, and economic aspects of ethanol. The second day will focus on biodiesel and gasification. Topics will include the diversity of biofuels, feedstocks, strategies and a closing panel on the needs and opportunities. This conference, open to all interested parties, is scheduled for April 4-5, 2007 in Beltsville, MD. A registration fee of $25.00 is requested, payable by check to University of Maryland.
