SEEDS Undergraduate Research Fellowship
In anticipation of funding for the year 2013-2014, we call for your application to the SEEDS Undergraduate Research Fellowship program. The possibilities of this opportunity are unparalleled. It is designed to advance the work of students with outstanding potential to shape the future of ecology. The SEEDS Undergraduate Research Fellowship is the highest honor in the SEEDS program, and fellows are encouraged to be the shining leaders in the future of ESA. SEEDS Fellows receive leadership development, mentoring, and guidance to work on their research project of interest, as well as the chance to share their research findings with ecology professionals at the ESA Annual Meeting.
Description
The SEEDS Fellowship runs from March 2013 through August 2014. The award supports the undergraduate student in designing and conducting their ecology research project of interest. Fellows receive the opportunity to select a mentor of their choice from the ESA membership - representing 10,000 scientists in the United States and around the world! They essentially conduct a mini thesis from writing a proposal, to conducting their research and analyzing results, to presenting at the ESA meeting.
