Journals and Publications
Can stress enhance the performance of a passively dispersed species? In the October edition of Ecology, Teller et al. show that, when under drought duress, Carduus nutans plants produce seeds with slower falling velocities. This context-dependent response is projected to maintain or improve seed dispersal distances.
