Coastal Ecology Program Director at The Water Institute of the Gulf

Coastal Ecology Program Director

The Coastal Ecology Program Director is responsible for leading and developing the research capabilities of The Water Institute of the Gulf in coastal ecology. We are seeking an individual for this senior leadership position with broad experience and expertise, with the capability to oversee and engage in a program that focuses on coastal systems in the broadest sense. Research capabilities could be in systems ecology, ecosystem modeling, fisheries, response of coastal and deltaic ecosystems to climate change, or other areas relevant to understanding natural coastal system dynamics. Much of the Water Institute research is interdisciplinary therefore working effectively with other program directors is an important position requirement.

The Water Institute is a not-for-profit research corporation that derives its funding from its success in building its research program. The salary for this position, like those of all Water Institute staff, comes from these funds and from other sources which program directors participate in soliciting. More information at
