Assistant Professor, Ecology

The Department of Biological Sciences, California State University, Los Angeles, seeks to fill a tenure-track position in Ecology beginning Fall2015. A Ph.D. in biology is required, with a minimum of one year related post-doctoral experience. The applicant must establish an externally funded research program in ecology, involving undergraduate and Master’s students in the research. The candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and participate in curricular development and advisement. Preference will be given to individuals with college-level teaching experience in ecology or biostatistics; demonstrated potential for securing external grant support; and a research program that emphasizes fieldwork in terrestrial or limnetic systems.
