ESA designates as Early Career Fellows of the Society certain members (typically chosen within 8 years of receiving the PhD) who have begun making and show promise of continuing to make outstanding contributions to a wide range of fields served by ESA. Such contributions include, but are not restricted to, those that advance or apply ecological knowledge in academics, government, non-profit organizations and the broader society.

Nominations of an individual can be made by any two members of ESA (excluding members of the Fellows Selection Committee). Nominations shall include curriculum vitae of at most four pages, one to three letters of recommendation, and a citation of at most 50 words proposed for use if the nominee is selected to be a fellow. ESA particularly welcomes nominations that reflect the breadth of the society in all ways.

To be given full consideration, this nomination should be completed by February 1, 2013 and should be submitted as a single PDF file to awards@esa.org with ESA Early Career Fellow Nomination in the subject line.
