Can provide an overview of the Healthy School's Act 2010/2011 and the mandate given to DDOE to develop, with the help of a number of DC Govt agencies and DCEEC, an ELP for the District. We can discuss all the work that has been done for the past couple of years, the ELP-working group and the three task force Standards/PD, Graduation and implementation task force.

I would like to hear more discussion regarding linking the Environmental Literacy movement with the STEM education movement which currently benefits from strong support from the Administration.

What are effective strategies for having an impact nationally? How can we best support a national network of teachers who are employing new strategies in environmental education?

Listen to the ideas/needs of various sectors, extending ideas about a network/database. (b) Hear about current issues and ideas on environmental literacy, particularly where technology might come into play. (c) Discuss non-NSF-dependent funding sources, both as a backup if the grant is rejected, and as part o the sustainability plan for the grant.
