In this exercise students analyze given data to assess which areas in a landscape are important areas for bat conservation. Students will identify potential areas of importance on a map, prioritize these areas, assess threats to bat conservation, evaluate what additional information is needed, and justify their priorities based on data and evidence. Additional teaching materials on topics relating to biodiversity conservation and ecology can be obtained free of charge by registering at the Network for Conservation Educators and Practitioners’ website (
http://ncep.amnh.org).
Not sure I understand what the exercise is referring to when stating in the exercise opener "As you have learned in this module..." is this to imply that there is an accompanying resource that should have been introduced before this one or that the professor should have created their own lecture material to introduce the lab exercise? Just wanting to clarify as to whether or not all necessary material has been provided.
